Pop-Up™ Shoe Shelf
A Better Way To Simplify Your Shoe Storage!
The Problem:
One day, Mary decided to tackle the mess in her closet—a task she had been putting off for far too long. As she sifted through the chaos of clothes, accessories, and mismatched shoes, she found herself staring at the growing pile of footwear spilling out from every corner. With shoes crammed into boxes, stacked precariously, and scattered in odd places, she couldn’t help but wonder if there was a better way to organize them.
Mary didn’t want just any old shoe organizer. She envisioned something specific—an organizer spacious enough to hold at least 40 pairs of both men’s and women’s shoes. She wanted it to be practical yet stylish, with wheels for easy movement, and designed so she could clearly see each pair at a glance. Digging through piles to find the right pair had always been a frustrating chore, and she longed for a solution that could bring order to the chaos while saving her precious time.
Motivated by her vision, Mary turned to the internet in search of her dream shoe organizer. She scoured online stores, read reviews, and even explored DIY options, but nothing seemed to match her needs. Everything she found was either too small, lacked visibility, or was too cumbersome to move. The more she searched, the more she felt her dream solution slipping away.
Sitting on the floor amidst her cluttered closet, Mary felt frustrated. She was determined to find the perfect organizer or, if necessary, create one herself. As the wheels in her mind began to turn, she realized this could be more than just a closet makeover—it could be an opportunity to design something truly innovative for herself and others facing the same struggle. It didn’t take long before Mary reached out to Davison with her product idea
Davison's Better Way:
After Mary securely submitted her idea using Davison’s idea security agreement, she took the first crucial step in ensuring her innovation was handled professionally. With her concept safely submitted, the Davison team immediately got to work conducting thorough research on similar products already available in the market and on similar concepts that had been patented.
Armed with this valuable research, Mary and the Davison team collaboratively transitioned into the product design phase. This process included brainstorming creative solutions, sketching preliminary designs, and refining her concept. The team combined their expertise with Mary’s vision to develop a prototype that could effectively capture the essence of her idea while aligning with current manufacturing methods.
With Mary’s approval on the final design, the Davison team shifted their focus to finding a manufacturer capable of bringing the product to life. This involved identifying a potential licensee or manufacturer with the expertise, technology, and capacity required to produce or sell the item.
Today Mary product is available for purchase with Amazon and Jokari!
